With a proud history of teaching swimming since 2007, we’ve helped hundreds of people from around the world achieve their aquatic goals. Our team of highly experienced bilingual freelance coaches offers private lessons for both children and adults in English or Thai.

Whether you’re a nervous beginner or a seasoned swimmer looking to refine your stroke, we’ll create a tailored learning plan to help you succeed.

We specialize in teaching individuals of all ages and abilities, from young children to adults, but we do not offer swimming classes to children under the age of five who are not native Thai or English speakers.  Learning a new skill in a second language is a challenge for most of us. If you are 3 or 4 years old and are suddenly handed over by your parents to a complete stranger, who does not speak your language, swimming lessons suddenly become your worst nightmare!  Expect tantrums, tears, and a stubborn refusal to even get in the water. 

Instead we offer a programme for parents to learn how to help their young children gain confidence in the water through a structured series of games and exercises.  Mum or Dad get in the pool with their child and follow the instructions of our swim coach.

Currently this programme is only available on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

While children may start learning to swim in one of our two children’s pool, we expect them to progress quickly and take swim lessons in the main pool. 

The main pool is 25 meters long, 16 meters wide and ranges in depth from 1 meter to 1.6 meters over a gentle gradient and sanitized using a salt water system.

Booking a Swim Class

We receive a number of requests to provide swim instructors to teach customers at their condominium or local hotel. We understand the desire for convenient swimming lessons, but for optimal learning and safety, we believe our pool is the ideal environment. Our coaches have full access to specialized equipment and can focus entirely on your progress without travel time interruptions.  Moreover, while working on our site, they are covered by our public liability insurance policy which does not extend to third party premises

We do not have a set schedule for swimming classes but arrange lessons at a mutually convenient time for both the student and the coach. To make a booking, please telephone 085 036 8030 or e-mail info@therealcentreoftheuniverse.com

Please tell us about your swimming experience and availability for lessons:

1. Skill level: Are you a non-swimmer, beginner, intermediate, or advanced swimmer? If you are inquiring about swimming lessons for a child, please provide their age.

2. Lesson schedule: Please provide your preferred days, dates, and times for your first swimming lesson. When indicating times, please offer a broad range if possible.

Examples:

• Any day except Sunday, between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM
• Any morning after 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM
• 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays
• 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on weekdays
• 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM on any day
• 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Please provide alternative options as we may not be able to accommodate your first choice.

General Information

Please note, swimming classes may be suspended during December and January if the water temperature drops below 23°C.

Equipment

Coaches will provide kickboards and other swimming aids for use during swim lessons.

The swimming pool does not sell or supply swimming accessories such as swimming costumes, goggles, flippers, hand paddles, snorkels, swim rings (rubber rings), arm bands, leg bands, pool noodles, swim vests (life jackets), swim caps, earplugs and nose clips.  Most shopping malls in Chiang Mai have outlets that sell these items, or they can be bought online from Lazada.co.th (Thailand’s equivalent of Amazon) and delivered within a few days.

Payment

Please note we do not accept credit or debit cards to pay for swim classes. Fees should be paid in cash in Thai Baht or transferred to our bank account or paid via Thailand’s PromptPay QR system.
